I think the contrast in the second photo, particularly for the model on our right, is too high. Since her cheekbone headlights are so high, in the second photo I think she has almost gotten a reverse racoon look. The white around (but particularly below) her eyes is so bright that it looks a little off (to me).
Skin is also a little better in the first, particularly on the model on our right. Her throat goes too bright and too hard in the second photo.
There are most certainly more than one light in play her (did you bounce?). If the rest of the light is ambient, your balance is excellent.
Would love to hear more about filters used.
