Spot can be dust that needs to be cleaned either with a blower brush or a sensor swab depending on how stuck it is on the sensor.

It could also be a hot pixel, which is not unexpected for such an old camera--and really a non-issue.

The camera doesn't have 24 actuations. I could have anywhere between 6000 and 100000, someone just reset the picture count, which is what I do when I get new cameras to keep the filenames simple.

I wouldn't give an ebay seller grief over a stuck pixel or sensor dust--assuming that's what it is (posting examples would be nice).
