If it affects 1% of cameras we have seen a few hundred reported on the forums.

So possibly 30% of SAB cameras' owners go to the forums to look for help.

But we know that if something happens to someone that person will then hugely over-estimate the true statistical likelihood of the event in retrospect. Also that people find anecdotes far more compelling than real data.

This survey is pretty pointless because it is not going to a representative sample of the whole population. You have in fact specifically asked for a skewed sample to collect a few anecdotes. It will probably make you feel better because human brains cannot intuitively understand statistics.
