ZS15 No focus confirm beep?

After I used the Reset option in the menu, the focus confirmation began working. I then went through and set everything as I had previously, and the beep continues to work.

And, I HAD previously checked to verify that I did NOT have the beep silenced. In fact, I had set it to the louder option.

It's a mystery.
