The importance of prints

Just create good prints of the most important images.

My wife is seriously into family tree research so images of family and ancestors are very important. We are slowly scanning and reprinting all old photos (some more than 100 years old) and (re)printing newer stuff that needs to last "forever" and using an old Epson PictureMate that gives 4 x 6 inch prints with pigment ink, That should be safe for a while.

Of all the images in any collection, the arty and scenery stuff will hit the trash bin. The ones that have family, houses, street scenes, local buildings etc are the ones that are valued by future researchers and students of history. But they MUST have names and dates on the back!

Regards........ Guy
