Kit 18-55 lens on a Canon T2i (550D)

There have been a lot of threads recently about which lenses to get instead of the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens, and I continue to side with those who say it's hard to do much better, especially considering the money. Here are two uncropped photos with the lens at 18 mm at f/3.5 and f/9, and one uncropped photo of pansies taken at 55 mm at f/5.6. No, these won't win any photo contests, but I hope they make some of you take another look at what your kit lens can do.
