Justify the Cost
May 11, 2012

It is fairly easy to justify the cost of most digital cameras in that, with regular usage, the savings made, against the cost of colour film, processing and printing materials quickly, or relatively quickly, adds up to the price of the camera; 31000 shots or between 3 and 6 years for the non pro user is my estimate but feel free to make your own on the amount of photographs you take. I am not so sure the B&W Leica is so easy to justify.

What do you think?

For my part; if I had the money going spare, I would get one. Why? Because it is probably the one digital camera which should not need replacing to keep up with developments in sensor design etc.

All we need now is a darkroom enlarger which, like digital projectors, accepts SD cards.
