Software Lens Correction and the 17-55mm

I have used that lens for landscape work and I think it's a great lens. But, it does have some gotchas. The issue you are probably thinking of is the strong field curvature which makes focusing a little bit more challenging. The second is that it exhibits somewhat strong flare. There are better choices for landscape work, but I think it is still a great all around lens.
