Quick comparison between the 12-50 & 12-60 on the EM-5

I have been asked to compare some of the differences between the 12-50 and 12-60. Size and weight are a no-brainer.

So lets go to image quality. Now I am going to be the very first to admit that this is not the most controlled shooting situation but it does give us a better look at these two lenses side by side on the EM-5 and on the E-5 (12-60 only). I am also only testing the wide end and the macro.

First some downsized image samples...the first is the E-5 with the 12-60.

Now the EM-5 with the 12-60

And lastly the EM-5 with the 12-50.

Note that the EXIF information all say 12mm, yet the 12-60 seems to be a bit wider than the 12-50.

I will add another post for the detail shots of the upper left, upper center, upper right and foreground in the thread below.
