35mm f/2 - good for D800?

Since the D800 still isn't widely available, I've been able to be a little more rational about my "need" for it, and have been trying to figure out what I'd really gain and what it would cost me, including lens upgrades. One of my current lenses that may be good enough for the D800 is the 35mm f/2. I'd be interested in seeing any D800 shots you may have made with this lens. Since I don't have access to a D800, all I can do myself is look at D300 shots. Here are a couple of flower shots from last week:

f/3.5

100% crop:

f/8

100% crop:

The above shots were done in raw, initially developed in Lightroom 3, and slightly refined in PS CS3.

What do you think? Is this lens good enough for the D800? Please post examples.
