Panasonic Lenses on Olympus Cameras
May 10, 2012

Thinking of upgrading from Panasonic G1 to Olympus OM-D. Currently, I use only legacy lenses on the G1 but will buy m4/3 specific lenses for the OM-D. My question is whether I should stay with Olympus lenses though I like the specs on some of the Panasonic lenses better. Other than listed specs (such as focal length and weight) and wasting the image stabilization on the Panasonic lenses that have this, is there any downside to the Panasonic lenses on Olympus cameras? For example, do the Panasonic lenses focus slower on Olympus cameras? Are there any potential advantages in using Panasonic lenses on Olympus? For example, would it ever make sense to turn on the in-lens image stabilization and turn off the in-camera stabilization? Thanks in advance.
