In response to keeping an image steady with a long lens. Lens movement is the same across the image sensor it would not be different or higher at the edge then the center. The more magnification (lens focal length) the more sensitive the image will become to the same amount of vibration. An easy demonstration is if you had a 70-300mm lene then mount the camera with lens on a tripod and set the lens to 70mm. If you lightly tap the lens or camera as you look threw the viewfinder you should see a little shake. Now zoom all the way to 300mm and lightly tap the camera or lens with the same amount of force. As you view threw the camera you will see even more vibration. There is actually a math formula to calculate out how much vibration will increase. Dennis
