D700 vs D300 for Macro
May 9, 2012

I have recently bought a D700 from a friend and also still have my D300 too. My main subjects for photography are Landscapes and Macro/Close-ups (mainly insects). I currently use the Sigma 180mm macro lens.

My question is this, should I keep my D300 for macro shooting versus the D700? What differences will I notice and possibly be hindered by if I used the D700?

I have someone offering me cash for my D300 but I am not sure whether I should sell it or not? Financially I could hang on to it but not being a pro I would probably not get much use out of 2 bodies.

Thoughts anyone?
