I should probably have phrased my subject line differently.

Because I was not so much asking for a solution, as providing the answer on how I dealt with the perspective distortion that I experienced when shooting from the ground. Just do whatever you can to get higher...

The other one is of course, get a Lensbaby PC thingy. If I don't like perspective distortion, I'll just shoot with a telephoto from far away. If that's not possible..., I give up.

Not a very helpful post, I know.... But just want to give a head up because those are good photos.
