I found 2 adapters on ebay (sold under many different names. but essentially these 2 are what I found):

The first one has number from 0 to 6. Does that mean it has 7 different positions for the aperture (fully open till fully closed with 5 intermediate values) ?

The second one has nothing I can understand regarding intermediate values.

I imagine some of this guesswork is solvable by taking a few test shots for a given aperture setting and finding the optimal ISO and shutter speed combination.

Maybe after a while one gets the hang of it - you know that one notch difference equates to 2 stops etc.

Which of the two would you recommend? Have you used any of them?
