Congratulations French and Greeks...
May 7, 2012

…for voting to reject the psychopathic Washington economic model which is designed to send smaller countries broke (i.e. clamp down on economic activity when you need to stimulate it), rip off their community (i.e. government) owned assets, and put them in the hands of the super rich.

And, of course, keep Washington afloat despite horrendous US debt and an economy and processes that are designed to drive the US into neo-fascist ruination.

The correctness of the French and Greek voeters' decisions can be sen in the fact that stock markets fell around the world. Excellent. Stock markets are the casinos of the 1%. They know the Greek and French voters have got it right -- for the Greek and French voters, not for the super rich.

Unfortunately, Australian governments (and many Australians) are total subscribers to the Washington fiction of how to run an economy. We have a solid economy at the moment (our dollar is worth about USD1.04 -- just a few years ago it was worth USD0.55) but our government brings down a budget today that will be designed to white ant our standard of living.

Cheers, geoff
