OM-D Sensor Dust
May 7, 2012

Hi Guy,

I just received an OM-D a couple of days ago and I think I might have some dust on the sensor. This is my first non PAS camera, so I'm new to changing lenses. I've been reading up on sensor and lens dust and my understanding is that lens dust doesnt really show up as specs on an image. I have the 12-50mm kit and a Panasonic 14mm lens. Anyways, when I take a picture of a white background, at anything F number above 10, I get some visible specs, and one particularly dark one at the lower left hand corner.

Now here is the weird thing that makes me second guess that its sensor dust. The specs move slightly when zooming in and out with the kit zoom, and are really only visible at between 20-50....my panny doesn't show that spots and the kit zoom doesnt show it below 20mm.

Is this lens dust on the zoom kit or dust on the sensor? (i.e Would sensor dust move around and not be visible at wide angles?)

Ive attached some pictures
