OK. But this is irrelevant, because, since we're talking about using the same lens on two different cameras, focused at the same subject, both focal planes will be in exactly the same location.

I am talking about equivalent images only. My starting point was that you cannot use the same lens in the same way, and this is where the main difference is. When you show me two images, one of which being 40% cropped version of the other, the last thing that will attract my attention would be the bokeh.
