I am not sure what you mean by the images being too small to see any detail. If you follow the links there is a zoom function that allows you to zoom in pretty far (especially on the D800 image).

I think it is hard to determine what kind of photography I do by one test shot. The range of subject matter that I shoot varies widely. The reason I want to upgrade is the detail that I have been seeing that others have achieved. I am constantly growing and wanted a camera that will meet my needs now and in the future.
