Any reason not to convert all my Canon RAW files to DNG?
May 6, 2012

I've just upgraded to LR4 and on going through the online tutorials I came across one on DNG. I shoot in RAW and have never converted any to DNG, but the nice lady on the Adobe tutorial tells me that DNG files are much smaller, the preview upload significantly quicker in the Develop module of LR, and all the info that was present in the RAW is kept in the DNG file. So are there any downsides to not converting the whole of my LR collection to DNG and getting rid of the RAWs?
