Why do you love your 24-70?

I am really struggling to understand.

Distortion very bad at 24-40 focal length, it's poor portrait lens and obviously not strong landscape lens since at 24 has a lot of vignette, distortion and CA.

Pro build quality? well dropped from 40 cm height on the carpet, top edge cracked...
Dust and moist sealed? I see plenty of dust inside mine...

Can you tell me your reason of love, what you are using it for and maybe attach the best shot?
