Good DSLR's hold their value surprisingly and I don't see the A900 being any different.

As an example I bought my Canon 50D body for £599 2 years ago and have just sold it for £430. Ok I had to chuck in a couple of memory cards but how much are they these days.

So I've had the camera 2 years and it was already an 2 year old body. In that time Canon released the 7D, 60D, 550D and 600D - all of which could be said to 'dent' the resale value of the 50D. Nikon brought out the D5100 and D7000. I also got 2 years of enjoyment from the camera also.

I don't think a £160 drop in value is at all bad and your A900 will fair just as well and will certainly be more cost effective than having to replace all your lenses as well if you jump to Nikon.
