Nice flowers and flowers are always popular subjects. Question: Since you were using flash, why not use f16 or even f22 to increase the DOF? I pretty much use flash 100% when shooting macros. It freezes the subject/camera movement and allows smaller apertures for increased DOF. Just my 0.02 worth.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions Bert. I usually shoot flowers from a tripod & at an F-Stop in the teens. I try to take my photography seriously, even when the subject matter, flowers in this instance, aren't of real interest to me. I was just experimenting with these. Seeing how low I could go with my ISO and shutter speed, then how high I could keep my F-Stop up all at the same time. I agree my results would have been better with a F11+ aperture but, what the heck.
