Very helpful. Here I was assuming it was like shooting in low light, when actually the moon is quite bright, so low ISO's (100-250) at f11 and f16 (which are the Olympus 70-300's sweetspots as it's extended) work fine and reduce noise. I'll also try shooting at 200, 300 and 400 (35mm equiv.) and cropping, these being where this lens excels in resolution:

Bracketing EV another good tip. Thanks for a helpful link, I'll post my results if the clouds clear tonight.
