4/3's LiveMOS
In reply to Aleo Veuliah, May 5, 2012

LiveMOS is a marketing name of sensor used by 4/3 consortium, since E330 and Lumix L1.

It could be manufactured by Panasonic and also other manufacturers. The name is still LiveMOS. It's a marketing name.

Even if Sony or Samsung make sensor for m4/3, it'd be called LiveMOS by Olympus and Panasonic. Give name 'CMOS' to others

Well, maybe just like Fuji and Oly XD card, manufactured by Samsung and Toshiba. It still uses Fuji and Oly brands.

Oh just read, agree with Mr Brian

Question 3)

Third, I like much the image quality of the Panasonic sensors, mostly on the colour they deliver, is the OM-D ensor the same used on the new Micro 4/3, 16 megapixels cameras, or is a new 16 megapixels Panasonic sensor ?

Unfortunately we cannot disclose the manufacturer of the sensor used in E-M5 Olympus camera, however we can confirm that the our E-M5 uses the newest 16.1 Megapixel Hi-Speed Live MOS
