I had both and kept the Oly since it supports me better to do spontaneous street photography.

  • less prone to accidentally changing ISO, aperture or correction (it is so frustrating to regularly have iso 100 instead of auto iso in a dark environment)

  • usable auto iso (setting of slowest speed and highest iso)

  • quicker and more reliable AF

  • all needed lenses stabilized dueto in body stabilizer

  • focus selection much quicker either via touch screen or via arrow keys (bigger steps and thus quicker to change to the outer positions)

  • less intimidating when shooting via touchscreen

  • configurabl mysettings (please sony honestly, why not?)

  • overall the oly is much more customizable to the enthusiasts needs

  • viewfinder easier to see with glasses

  • I needed the Sigmas on the Nex for their focal length but they take 3 seconds extra to wakeup (nogo for me)

All this gets me considerably more keeper with my shooting style with the Oly. But still, I liked the Nex-7 for its design and simple access.
