Got some great points there and pretty much same as my experience. Except I think the E-M5's high ISO performance seems better than the NEX-7.

It may look better if you do no take into account little overstated ISO for Olympus.
(On same ISO Olympus uses longer shutter speed or aperture than Sony)

However, I think the E-M5 is a better buy overall, at least for me. For the price Sony NEX-7 with 24mm f1.8 and Tamron 18-200mm lens I get a E-M5 with the kit 12-50mm lens, 45mm f1.8, 40-150mm and 25mm f1.4 lens plus $500 left over. Since I usually downsize all the pics I took to 2000Xwhatever size, the IQ are pretty close.

For Sony I would take additionally only
Sony E 50 mm f1.8 OSS - 272 euros
With NEX7 camera kit 1200 + 272 = 1472 euros

For Olympus closest replacement I see
Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 - 520 euros
With E-M5 camera kit 1300 + 520 = 1820 euros

Sony looks cheaper for me - for rest 348 euros I can replace Sony kit lens with
Tamron AF 18-200mm

So overall I would say Sony E and m4/3 are comparable in price.

Are you keeping both camera?

I have to pick one during several days
