I think that if you have all the switches up (or down, dont remember, check manual), it is a "global" channel. If you dont shoot with other people using radio triggers you can have them on "global" mode.

If you press the button on top of the transmitter (even if it isnt on the camera), it should fire the flashes connected to a powered on receiver.

I suspect your problem is related to the mode in which your flashes are. I am not familiar with these flashes. If you have a way to set them in manual mode, do so, at least for testing.

I think the important contact on the rf602 hotshoe is the middle one. Try putting some gaffer tape on all other contacts. Does it make a difference?

When you turn on your rf602 receiver, does it blink?

In what mode is your camera? PASM? auto?

Try changing batteries?
