Lance are you finding any difference inIQ between the D800 when cropped to DX and the D7000? I have bumped my auto iso up from 1600 with the D7000 to 3200 with the D800, though I prefer for it to be lower for the dynamic range. Have you altered your autos settings if you use this function?

I have gone from ISO3200 on the D7000 to ISO6400 on the D800 for auto ISO and I believe it is still better than the D7000 at the higher ISO! I think the overall IQ is better as well, but this is just a seat of the pants feel at the moment and not based on any actual testing criteria. In otherwords, from the shots I have done with the D800 to similar shots with the D7000, they look better to me so far.

However, this is probably also because the D800 works better in AF speed and accuracy as well as VR speed and accuracy and I get more keepers.
