That used to work for me. Now it takes a while to fully turn on, AND off.
1) Put card back in camera from transferring to iMac.
2) Turn lens to power on x10.

3) Screen goes on, but need to wait about 15+ seconds before screen info appear (cam is ready to shoot)

4) Turn off x10 via lens barrel, then press green preview button and hold down till the 'in progress' circle disappears and display enters playback mode. (as suggested to repair the delay in reading the card)
5) Turn off playback via green preview button. (or skip this and just goto #6)
6) Turn on x10 via lens barrel.

Results = Still need to wait 16 blinks of the amber 'made in Japan' light before the camera display appears (with screen info) and is ready.

And sometimes even when I turn off via the lens barrel, I still need to wait another 16 blinks of the amber light before the camera goes off.

SDHC card is a LX Series 32 GB. 17.59 GB avail. This was not an issue before the last time I put it in my iMac.

Yes, putting in a different card and the camera powers up and down instantly.

Suggestions? Smaller size cards.
