D800 or Olympus OM-D??

D800 makes the big system worth it.

At least for me. And that means using the bigger, heavier glass that the camera requires.

I have a Micro Four Thirds system and it's a fine option for some uses, but it can't approach doing what I'm able to do with the D800.

Since you have a D700, the equation is different for you. But then the decision is entirely yours and only you know what you really need and will use.

Frankly, while the EM-5 is a nice camera its biggest achievement is that it can run with APS-C for image quality up to moderate ISOs. It handles pretty well and it has good AF performance except for tracking action. It's marginally better in several areas, but there's nothing about the camera that's revolutionary. I'd like one, but it will be quite a while before I'll be looking at anything but glass for my D800.
