Help required - regarding Yongnuo RF603 C1
May 2, 2012

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've posted, and not usually in this forum (I'm from the Konica Minolta group - so be gentle).
I recently purchased a Yongnuo 560 II external flash to be used off camera (Konica Minolta 7D - yes, its still going - I'll get a Sony when this one dies). In order to make this work, I needed a Sony --> Canon/Nikon shoe mount converter, which I purchased.
With the configuration like this:-
Camera -> hotshoe adapter -> Yongnuo flash [on camera] - it works fine
But when I remove the flash and place the wireless receiver/transmitter on both the camera and the flash [now not connected], the flash won't fire.
I know the RF603's work as I tested them on a Canon 7D. So all the kit works, but apparently the RF603 doesn't like talking to the hot shoe adapter for some reason?
Any ideas how I overcome this?
Thanks in advance.
Simon
