Hi guys,

Just bought this used lens, looks like a fine copy - but 1:1 is just not enough....

I do have the 6T filter but it won't fit (I think the 4T will, but it's way too expensive...)

Any ideas should I use extension tubes, reverse lens, Kenko 1.4X, which one should give me best magnification yet still would deliver top quality output ?....

What magnification do you want?

Your Nikon 6T will fit on your 105 with an inexpensive 52-62mm step-up filter adapter. The 6T is a +2.9 diopter lens so with your 105 focused at infinity you'd get a magnification of 2.98x105/1000= 0.30x.

With the 105 at maximum extension the 6T would increase the max mag to about 1.4-1.5x; about the maximum many can hand-hold.

A 50mm lens reversed on your macro lens would start with a magnification of about 1:1
