Having more cores will be more noticeable if you do a lot of batch processes. If you are looking for more improvement in single image editing, what you want is faster GHz and more RAM. I'll bet your current 4GB RAM is holding you back. If you want faster image and preview loading, what you want is a faster disk or an SSD.

Another factor is how big the images are. If you are editing 20-35 megapixel images, you will need a bit more RAM and CPU than if you are editing 10-20 megapixel images. 10-16GB is probably a better idea. (You can get 10GB by replacing one stock 2GB chip with one 8GB chip.)

An advantage the 15" has is the ability to order the high resolution screen to make more room for the Lightroom panels, if you feel that the panels tend to crowd out the image when the Eizo is not connected. I got the high resolution matte option and would not want the default glossy.
