Didn't you see the emoticon?
In reply to CFynn, May 1, 2012

Gawd, don't get so uppity. My post was in jest, notice the emoticon? Besides, I was talking about an 'amateur' and an 'advanced amateur'. Why don't you read the post that I was responding to, to get the full view of what I posted?

to be an advanced shooter. My metric to separate an amateur shooter from an advanced is to look at how they do a small group shot. An amateur will either crop the heads of the subjects or put the heads in the middle of the shot, putting too much wasted space above the heads. An advanced shooter will do a better job of positioning the group. Anyway, that's how I classify the ability of a shooter.

An amateur is a person who engages in an art, science, study, or athletic activity as a pastime rather than as a profession. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with ability.

Haha, still amateur, always amateur...I am not taking photos as "job".

that's pretty good stuff for an amateur shooter. Sounds more like advanced shooter to me.
