SOLVED Problem
In reply to Hawaii-geek, May 1, 2012

Finally did a FLIP of my Card Configs yesterday , and did a 300+ shoot.

D800 Hang SOLVED.

After Hanging the D800 on Every 100 to 200 shots where the battery had to be taken out to restart the camera,

I finally did a simple thing. Flipped the configuration of the Card writes. CF 90mb/s Extreme PRO as Primary, SD 95/mb/x Extreme PRO 64gb as Back up.

Was using the newer/faster SD as Primary. and a simple change stopped all the Hangs.

Talked to Sandisk USA and they think another new SD should solve the issue. Sending it back to B&H.

Shot a Fashion Show last night ... took more shots than I would have normally. Over 300, and a few quickly just to push the Card set up. No Hangs. Guess it was the SD card in the Primary write config. Not sure why it works on the Backup slot with no problems.

Hope this helps someone,

HG
