You have nailed te heart of the matter: RAW does not directly represent the sensor, RAW is not the sensor data saved on the media, RAW is a half-product product of processing engine, attempts to compare sensors based on RAW file are futile (and stupid)

Better processing engine brings more to RAW (DR included)
