7D: max ISO value you use with confident?

First on the "it takes a true intellectual" post. The post was funny, rude, and half right. For some purposes you really don't need to dig too deep and yet digging deep really can lead to understanding. Thanks to John Sheehy for taking the time to post and not getting rude in return.

Second to Zee Char: I never cease to be pleasantly surprised by how much better my images look when I get them printed at 8 X 10, 8 X 12, or 12 X 18 than they do on the computer screen.

Third, to the OP--and apologies to John Sheehy--for photos of flying birds and other moving animals in natural light I start at ISO 800. I'm generally comfortable using ISO 1600 on my 7D but will use ISO 3200 rather than have motion blur. For landscapes I try to use ISO 100 but I'm not sure I can tell any difference up to ISO 400.
