ZD7-14mm : a Walk with ONLY Ultra Wide Angle
Apr 30, 2012

Yesterday, our little group had its traditional Sunday morning walk in the countryside.

I try to limit the photographic equipment for these walks, and this time I decided to concentrate my efforts on Ultra Wide Angle, taking ONLY the ZD7-14mm for all and any photo opportunity that should present itself.

To emphasize the sense of width, I cropped most images to 16:9 ratio.

The full gallery of ZD7-14mm only shots from our walk is here :

EXIF shows up if you hover over the top right corner of every shot.

If the aperture does not show (or reads F1 as max aperture), this means that I used the "lens release button" trick to disconnect the contacts after focusing and make the ZD7-14mm essentially faster than F4. This was not really necessary or particularly useful on these occasions, but I just wanted to try that out for myself, having read about it in this forum.

Some samples - and as always, C&C is welcome. Click to expand!

Thanks for looking.
