Sorry Jim, I misspoke. I just checked in Win 7 mode and it does give me the choce to Open With.. But I'd perfer that like before I could see each .NEF image so that I could decide which ones I want to work with instead of just an ICON.

Make sure to check the box to always open with so that the correct program is the default. Or, again, as mentioned in my previous posts, see the links at the bottom of this page:

I somtimes shoot both Raw and Jpeg. In the past it would show the images in both formats and the raw images had a small black border on the top and the bottom of the image so that I knew which was which.

If you install RAW codecs in Win 7, you can see thumbnails and previews of your .nef files in any WIC (Windows Imaging Component) aware application (Windows Explorer and apps that use Explorer for browsing files, Windows Photo Gallery, etc.). Get the latest version here:

That worked Jim, thank you. I now see both the Jpeg and Raw file images when I open the folder. The only difference is before the raw files used to have a thin black border on the top and the bottom of the image so I knew which was raw. But that's okay, I can always sort by file type to seperate them.

I did right click on the images a chose open with.. Photoshop and set that as the default, I also did that for the Jpegs.. Now the only thing I notice is when I open a Jpeg image in Photoshop there is a green border all around the image of the picture, I would think that there's a way to change that in Photoshop.
