D7000: Focus shift in different lighting cond.
Apr 29, 2012

Hi

The AF on my D7000 seems to focus shift depending on the light. In very cool light, it focus good, in warm light( or even daylight) it backfocuses (af tune -15 or more needed in warm indoor light). This makes it impossible to stick with one AF tune setting.

Tried the same lens on my old D70s, under same conditions without any problems it seems to me. Which in turn leads me to believe there is a problem with my D7000.

I have attached a comparison image showing the difference between D70 and D7000. The focus point is roughly around the word "TMAX". All photos taken on a tripod using F.1.8 1/125s(D7000) 1/60s(D70), auto iso.

Any tips or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
