May well be that the battery back+fl-50R has not been such big seller, so they are culling the old hardware out of products list.
Techically with increasing ISO one needs less flash power, and with these video-modes the continous light can be usefull too.
IMHO for a real Flash, i'd rather check Metz anyhow. Faster recharge, upgrade with USB etc.
