I understand what DNG coverter does. But can somebody tell me, is this a standalone program , or is it a plug-in for Photohop and Lightroom?

If it is a standalone program, will I be able to convert my RAW files to DNG format and then open them in Photoshop CS2's Adobe Camera Raw to edit them?

Adobe's website said DNG images are compatible with all versions of Photoshop from C to CS6, so this might be a good option for me.

See my above post. I use CS3 and this has worked out for me. I should note that I use White Balance, Exposure and Fill light the most. The processing I do in Photoshop is minimal and is set up in actions so usually it is automatic and fast. Jimbo70
