skin tones look "pastey" with D800

My skin tones look "pastey" . I'm shooting JPEG, camera setting to "normal" and process everything in Lightroom. I have heard of this with Nikon cameras (I came from a Fuji S5, which is a Nikon D200 body with a Fuji image sensor). Any advice on settings would be appreciated.
