Trying Out The Canon EFS 17-55.

Canon 20D.

I am currently renting the 17-55 2.8 IS USM. The 20D and the lens combo is really quite heavy. I had earlier also rented the EFS 15-85 3.5-5.6 IS USM. In the brief time that I've had this lens, I can confidently say, it is one of the best I have used as far as the optical quality is concerned. Clearly superior to the 15-85. Will be testing it out more vigorously in the coming days.
