Nathan Road is a long road, spreading from Tsim Sha Tsui to Prince Edward, i.e. over five underground stations. There are many camera shops or audio/vedio shops all along. Sai Yeung Choi Street South is parallel to Nathan Road in the Mongkok section. The local Consumer Council had stated quite a few times that some small camera shops like to cheat on the tourists. For example:

Happy shopping and a great trip.

Head for Nathan Road, most camera shops are there. Just have your wits about you! I bought a camera there, make sure the menus are in English if that's your language!

Broadway, Fortress, Gome, Chung Yuen, Suning Citicall, and CMK are some reputable chain stores. Broadway and Fortress are the most popular ones.

A street called "Sai Yeung Choi Street South" in "Mongkok" is one of the places where there are many electronics stores. It's easier to compare prices among different stores there.

Electronics stores have price advantages over specialized camera stores like "Wing Shing", as you may ask for a small discount like 3% to 5% on the more expensive items in electronics stores. Sometimes if you ask, the staff will take HK$100 or HK$200 off the marked price. Big stores are also faster in reducing price on older models.

In most of the above mentioned chain stores, for every camera purchased, a screen protector, a spare battery, a mini tripod, a carrying case, and a 8 GB or 16 GB memory card are all given free of charge.
