Ok, so I've been reading all the pages I can find (thanks for all the links you have given).

Bought a 'diffuser' for my flash. I realize I need to either build something a bit more 'macro' friendly & look at the thought of buying an adapter to move the flash from off the top of the camera. Time & $$ will hold that back atm.

Been doing manual focus and figuring out how to get close to stuff. Skipped the insects atm, went with a few flowers.

Bit more 'macro' and tried some fun stuff with water drops.

just a couple pics from the countless ones I took. Still trying to figure out how to 'stack' and use software that will make everything clear... will have to practice with that more... hardest thing was keeping hand steady so tried to use a decent shutter speed.
