e-m5 auto focus woes

It may be that I'm just too used to how things worked with canon with auto focus, but it seems teh IBIS affects the auto focus on the e-m5 and pen quite a lot. Instead of just locking focus quickly its just a wee bit longer than I think it should to auto focus. I.E. if I am focused on something already then change focus by half way pressing the shutter it does a quick defocus then it focuses. Someone else mentioned this earlier in another post.
Its just a bit strange for me.
