I fully agree. I've never had a better, more versatile camera to bring with me on horseback. It's sturdy enough that I took a spill this winter and broke a wrist, while the camera was fine!

One thing I have found most useful is the leather carrying case. I replaced the neck strap with a longish strap from a small case that I can adjust to have the camera either directly in front of me, over or under the X100, or, when on the horse, hanging by my side. This way, I can always take a picture, without removing the strap, whether in the winter or the summer. I don't know if this is something that you could do on a motorcycle though.

Unless you plan to take pictures of your bike in the sunshine, I doubt very much that orbs will be a problem; they certainly are not for me.
