I can't agree with that, especially if speaking of "blue" since there is no light-losing filter for that color at all; and it does not matter for the green & red because they have the extra "energy" to reach their appropriate layer anyway.

I think Foveon type "technology" has the advantage but I am not sure enough R&D is going into it for ever to reach it's full potential.

Bayer has had a 30+ year head-start in development, by many companies. I surely am not convinced Sigma will ever carry it forward as fast as necessary.
